RE: FUEL ECONOMY INCREASE WITH LONGLIFE EXHAUST

Hi Tim,

I’d like to thank the Longlife team for a great job they did on my Discovery v8 exhaust, not only does it look and sound like a proper v8 now but the economy has also increased.

Before getting the exhaust fitted I was getting approximately 13mpg (60 miles per 20 litres), now that I have the exhaust it is around 22.5mpg (90 miles per 20 litres).

This is great news, especially as I run on gas! It’s cheaper than running a small car!

The custom exhaust was made so that a centre section could be easily removed to service the vehicle, something Land Rover missed!

Finally I have to mention the emissions – I don’t know how you did it but the vehicle sailed through its exhaust emissions test! 4% clear, It would have even passed a cat test it was that good!

Thank you very much for all your help! Highly recommended especially as I travelled from Guildford in Surrey to get it done!

I just wanted to provide you with this feedback. I was very pleased with the work that your team carried out on my car a Mercedes E320TE registration K20 GJS the other day. Since having the work done I have had the car MOT’d and fully serviced. The mechanic servicing my car phoned me to ask where I had the exhaust fitted and said that he hasn’t seen such professional workmanship in a very long time. I gave him several of the pamphlets you gave me so you never know you may receive work on recommendation.

just had my exhaust fitted to a LANCIA KAPPA in bristol and i have to say 10/10 for service and respect to the vehicle.

lancia had quoted me £650 for the standard mild steel system (back box alone was £380) and fiat advised me to go to a specialist,due to the rarity of this vehicle i was a bit concerned that a stainless system would ruin the quiet/smooth note of my original but after a chat with your technician i was assured that the standard note could be matched (or i could go for a 4inch twin pipe in full sport and upset the neihbours).

on the motorway home the car sounded as it allways has done,quiet and smooth but the throttle response and turbo pick up had improved noticeably......excellent work
